3rd Yrs, a chairde,
Thank you for engaging with Google Classrooms and Meet up to the Easter holidays. The information below will outline what is expected of you for the next six weeks.
As you know, the Minister for Education and Skills, Joe McHugh T.D., having received a wide range of advice from many sources has decided to cancel the Junior Cycle examinations that were due in June. It is planned that they will be replaced by a school based assessment in September.
In the meantime, you are entitled to and expected to engage in learning for the next six weeks of term. Some teachers will have parts of their course to finish. This will be their first priority. Other subjects have completed the prescribed specifications or syllabuses. In this situation I will ask your teachers to assign you a project to do between now and the end of May. The project will be part of your final Junior Cycle assessment that the school will award you in September/October. It should take you about 3 hours per week to complete.
Is mise, le meas,
Anthony Doogan
Principal
